Backyard Patio & Oak Tree Preservation Renovation – Demolition, grading, planter restoration, and regulated tree protection improvements.
The backyard patio transformation revitalized an aging outdoor space into a clean, functional, and refreshed landscape setting. The project included demolition and removal of deteriorated hardscape
materials, grading and site preparation, new border installation around the mature oak tree planter, and complete ground resurfacing for a cleaner, more usable patio area. A major concern was recurring
water flooding on the left side of the patio,; this was corrected by regrading the surface and installing new pavers with a carefully engineered downward slop to redirect water flow and eliminate standing
water. Because the property features a protected mature oak tree, all trimming and canopy work required inspection and approval through the Urban Forestry Department to comply with local
preservation regulations. Special care was taken to protect the oak’s root zone while improving drainage, appearance, and accessibility throughout the yard. The result is a renewed outdoor
environment that combines durability, functionality, and environmental stewardship.
